BILL SPENCER

Bill Spencer is a Detroit-based DJ, radio host, and record collector whose selections trace decades of late-night listening, overlooked releases, and hand-to-hand musical exchange. His sound is shaped by time spent in record shops and private collections, plus years of back-and-forth with friends and collaborators, pulling threads from across house, soul, dancehall, R&B, techno, and experimental electronics.

After coming up in the Ypsilanti / Ann Arbor area in the mid-2000s and relocating to Detroit in 2010, Spencer became deeply embedded in the city’s underground dance music scene, both behind the decks and behind the counter, spending years working at Hello Records while steadily developing his own voice as a DJ and broadcaster. His long-running bi-weekly NTS Radio program A Month of Sundays has become his primary outlet, offering a wide-open transmission of his taste to listeners across the globe.
