Cool Maritime is the sonic universe of Santa Cruz–raised electronic musician and filmmaker Sean Hellfritsch — an immersive sound adventure where synthesis meets the natural world.
Living just north of the San Francisco Bay Area, Sean draws from his life in the ocean, focusing tides, winds, and shifting light into music released on Western Vinyl and Leaving Records. His work channels moments of awe, joy, and deep connection to the environment into vibrant, exploratory soundscapes.
With textures that are largely electronic yet feel organic, Cool Maritime creates lush, breathing arrangements that ebb, flow, and glide like currents—inviting listeners into a space that is alive, expansive, and full of wonder.
