JCORE

For jcore (@staticvibecheck), the ideal dance-floor is a sanctuary. Based in San Francisco, she wears many hats: DJ, sound tech, event organizer, and more. As a member of the Braket Collective (@braket.sf), she co-produces underground raves for underserved communities of queer and trans dancers with a particular emphasis on high-quality, DIY sound and lighting setups. Her taste reflects her interest in sonic tactility: while you can hear her spin anything from a bouncy techno groove to a swung, bass-heavy shuffle, her sets are united by a focus on unorthodox sound design, precise mixing, and full utilization of the sound system.
