SONNY’S NVR OVR BBQ

Sonny’s NVR OVR BBQ is a labor of love by Native DJ, activist, artist and community culture maker Marty Aranaydo ​who is proud to be Oakland born and raised. Marty’s indigenous ceremonial fire keeping practices translates perfectly to smokin’ meats to feed the people (FTP). Sonny’s is named in honor of Marty’s pops, a beloved Oakland public school teacher and coach. All meats are smoked in Sonny’s front yard in Jingletown. Sonny’s NVR OVR BBQ pops up and caters all over Oakland and is excited to be throwin down to fuel the Town’s welcoming of these legendary Detroit architects of sound.
